myColex ist eine plattformunabhängige Open Source Software (Apache, mySQL, PHP), mit der Sammlungen kultureller Objekte in Museen fachgerecht dokumentiert und Führungen und Veranstaltungen administriert werden können. myColex wurde für das Historische Museum Basel, Schweiz, entwickelt und konnte sich, dank der intuitiven Benützung und der praxisorientierten Ausrichtung in vielen Museen bewähren. Anpassungen sind aufgrund des modularen Aufbaus einfach möglich. myColex und alle Teile davon sind Open Source Software und ermöglicht dadurch die Langzeitarchivierung Ihrer Daten, was für Museen von zentraler Bedeutung ist (Lizenzbedingungen).
